Riders Republic Performance Analysis

The biggest draw of Riders Republic is the large world filled with hundreds of other players. The game features various climate zones (forest, snow, desert), which provide a lot of variety both in terms of gameplay and visuals. In addition to skiing, players can ride bikes and fly with the help of rocket-powered wingsuits.

Because Ubisoft is not known for making games with great vehicle handling (keyword: Watch Dogs), we were initially sceptical about Riders Republic. However, the steering feels decent (after you get used to it).

We have some criticism for the settings menu, which was definitely made with consoles in mind. When using a controller, there should not be any issues. Howbeit, navigating through the menus with the mouse and keyboard is no fun.

The graphics settings menu is very expansive. There are a whole lot of settings. While the upper section of the graphics menu contains settings for resolution, refresh rate, scaling, field of view, and V-Sync (including an optional FPS cap), the lower section includes many visual settings, all of which can be changed in one fell swoop thanks to the built-in presets.

Ubisoft provides information about what effect changing each setting will have on VRAM usage (this does not appear to be very accurate, though).

At high settings, the game looks quite decent (textures and effects stand out in particular). The draw distance is also very impressive, as are the snow tracks and weather events. Positive: The game only takes up 24 GB of storage space.

В целом, корпус имеет хорошую сборку, даже при сильном сдавливании нет ни малейшего намека на скрип.

Дисплей

Как уже упоминалось выше, Samsung Galaxy Ace оснащается 3,5-дюймовым емкостным сенсорным TFT-дисплеем, что является своеобразным рекордом для моделей такого класса. При этом экран покрыт стеклом Gorilla Glass, устойчивым к появлению царапин. На практике это означает, что если смартфон случайно «встретится» с ключами в кармане, то на дисплее могут появиться легкие потертости, но никак не глубокие царапины. Сам экран имеет хорошие углы обзора и разрешение 480х320 точек, хотя при такой диагонали хотелось бы увидеть 800х480 точек. На ярком солнечном свете дисплей «выцветает», хотя текст на нем остается читабельным.

Интерфейс

Samsung Galaxy Ace работает под управлением операционной системы Android 2.2.1, которая дополнена фирменным интерфейсом TouchWiz 3.0. Эта оболочка имеет ряд улучшений по сравнению со стандартным Android, в ней реализован быстрый доступ к диспетчеру задач, по умолчанию установлен файловый менеджер, офисный пакет ThinkFree и приложение SocialHub для работы в социальных сетях. В TouchWiz 3.0 можно гибко настроить меню системы и панель быстрого запуска, а также самостоятельно добавлять или удалять рабочие столы, всего их может быть от 1 до 7. Помимо стандартного Android Market устанавливать приложения в Galaxy Ace также можно из магазина Samsung Apps. В остальном возможности смартфона соответствуют функциональности Android 2.2.1, система поддерживает синхронизацию с сервисами Google, есть доступ к Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, картам и поиску.

В аппарате используется минимум аппаратных органов управления, на лицевой панели находится одна механическая кнопка домашнего экрана и две сенсорные клавиши возврата и вызова меню. Также на правой боковой панели находится кнопка выключения/блокировки дисплея, а на левой — качелька регулировки громкости. На верхнем торце расположены 3,5 мм разъем для подключения наушников и порт micro-USB. За счет увеличенного дисплея работать с Samsung Galaxy Ace удобно, нет никаких проблем с тем, чтобы нажать не на ту пиктограмму или пункт меню. Дисплей отлично реагирует на нажатия и поддерживает технологию Multi-Touch.

Производительность

В плане производительности Galaxy Ace показывает средние результаты в синтетических тестах. В тесте Quadrant аппарат набирает 561 балл, что чуть больше, чем Nexus One с Android 2.1. В смартфоне установлен процессор Qualcomm MSM7227 с частотой 800 МГц, ускоритель графики Adreno 200 и 278 МБ оперативной памяти. Таким образом, при работе с меню и приложениями нет никаких нареканий на скорость работы, но при просмотре «тяжелых» веб-страниц или галерей с изображениями в большом разрешении, могут возникать небольшие заминки в работе устройства. Для установки программ пользователю доступно 158 МБ встроенной памяти и возможность использовать карты microSD размером
вплоть до 32 ГБ.

Есть предустановленные режимы съемки, можно изменить значение экспозиции, баланс белого, ISO, контраст, насыщенность, резкость, а также добавить к фото разнообразные эффекты. Качество фотографий находится на достаточно хорошем, как для смартфонов, уровне, и во многом зависит от освещения. А вот качество видео уже не так хорошо, доступна съемка только в разрешении 320х240 точек.

FHD (1.920 x 1.080)

Wer Guardians of the Galaxy auf einem Full-HD-Screen zocken möchte, sollte eine Midrange-GPU unter der Haube haben. Halbwegs aktuelle Notebook-Vertreter wie die GeForce GTX 1650 (Ti) packen dann auch hohe bis maxmale Details mit über 40 FPS im Schnitt. Der Titel ist entsprechend nicht besonders anspruchsvoll, was die Hardware-Anforderungen betrifft. Beim Einsatz von moderaten Settings kann es – je nach GPU – bisweilen auch zu einer Limitierung durch den Prozessor anstelle der Grafikkarte kommen.

QHD (2.560 x 1.440)

Für 2.560 x 1.440 Pixel genügt theoretisch ebenfalls ein Midrange-Modell, zumindest aus dem oberen Bereich. Neben der Radeon RX 5600M befeuert auch die GeForce GTX 1660 Ti eine Mischung aus dem Preset Ultra und QHD-Auflösung mit mehr als 50 FPS.

UHD (3.840 x 2.160)

Ein waschechter Gaming- bzw. High-End-Spross ist erst im 4K-Segment nötig. 3.840 x 2.160 Pixel und maximale Grafikoptionen sehnen sich nach einer GeForce RTX 3060 aufwärts.

Ray-Tracing

Ähnlich sieht es bei der Nutzung von Raytracing aus. Hier wird laut unseren Benchmarks schon in Full-HD eine RTX 3060 fällig. Die RTX 3050 Ti bricht leider mal wieder extrem ein.
